World Guitar Day was established in 2021 on the initiative of guitarist - composer - professor Yorgos Foudoulis, under the auspices of dozens of international organizations of high prestige and great scope.

World Guitar Day has been announced in the UN member states and will be celebrated worldwide every year on October 18, with the first official celebration expected on Monday, October 18, 2021.

Each Institution can celebrate World Guitar Day in its own way and can optionally send its schedule to the Coordination Team in a timely manner, to be featured in the overall program of World Guitar Day. (Alternatively the festive event period may include more days, eg from 15 to 20 October).

Those Organizations or persons wishing to receive official representation and coordinate with the central program of events, should contact the World Guitar Day Central Coordination Office for information and support.

We invite any interested organization or person to become a partner of World Guitar Day anywhere in the world.
